We encourage you to visit the website of the Zaremba Association of Mathematicians - Students of the Jagiellonian University (http://omega.im.uj.edu.pl/), where in "aktualności" (which means "news"), under "16 - 22 IX 2007 - X Międzynarodowe Warsztaty dla Młodych Matematyków" - more or less in the middle of the site, photos from the Workshop can be found.

As many as 204 participants took part in 10th International Workshop for Young Mathematicians. They represented 32 universities from Poland and abroad and 2 high schools from Kraków.
We had an opportunity to attend 29 lectures, admire 10 posters and take part in the first open problem session in the history of Workshop.

We took part in the first in Workshop's history open problem session on Tuesday.

On Tuesday evening we saw a performance „Prywatna klinika" in the Ludowy Theatre in Nowa Huta.

With great help of dr Małgorzata Bednarska, the Hex tournament was organised on Wednesday.

There was an opportunity to do some sightseeing of Krakow with a professional guide on Thursday.

On Friday we a special lecture entitled „Structure theory in topological dynamics” was given by prof. El Glasner from Izrael.


We would like to remind you that the 11th International Workshop for Young Mathematicians will take place in September 2008 so take it into consideration when planning your summer vacations!

When you arrive in Kraków, please at first come to the Conference Office, room 544, 5th floor, Institute of Mathematics of the Jagiellonian University, ul. Reymonta 4, in order to registrate. Without it you can not be accomodated in the student hostel.

Information for participants

The Schedule of the 10th International Workshop for Young Mathematicians is now available. Small changes are possible, but not likely.

To make the procedure of publishing a book (with all the lectures given during the conference) easier we ask the speakers to bring the full text of their presentation in a TeX file similar to the one that is in a file example.tex.

Preamble of a lecture given in English can be found in a file warszt_preamble_en.tex. The preamble can be included with a command input.

We ask you not to change the preamble. If you want to give any additional definitions, please do it in your own file.
