Rules


I. Preliminary Rules.

1. XIV International Workshop for Young Mathematicians "Algebra", later in this document referred to as "Workshop", will be held on 10-16 July 2011 in the Department of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków.

2. The principal organizer of the Workshop is the Zaremba Association of Mathematicians – Students of the Jagiellonian University. The list of other organizers is available on the website of the Workshop (http://kmsuj.im.uj.edu.pl/workshop2011 ).

3. Applying for participation in the Workshop is tantamount to acceptance of rules contained both in this document and in the notes in the registration form.

II. Participation in the Workshop.

1. Application for participation in the Workshop should be submitted through the registration form available on the Workshop's website.

2. To become a participant one is required to:
- submit an application before 08.05.2011,
- have the application approved by the organizers,
- pay the conference fee, accomodation and alimentation fees in the amount specified in the application form before 31.05.2011 (bank account number will be published on the Workshop's website).

3. The Workshop organizer reserves the right to not return the conference fee if participation is cancelled. It might be possible to specify another person to substitute for the cancelled participation. These cases will be considered individually.

4. Each participant has the right to give a lecture on a topic related to the subject of the Workshop (Algebra). In this case one should:
- fill in all related fields in the application form (including "summary"),
- have the lecture approved by the organizers (the decision will be announced before 18.05.2011),
- send the full text of the lecture to the organizers before 08.06.2011. Failure to do so may result in rejection by the organizers.

5. Participants who submit lectures must be their authors or have the permission to use them during the Workshop.

6. The language of the lectures should be English. Any exceptions must be approved by the organizers and approval might only be granted in special cases.

7. Speakers are exempt from the conference fee (not from the accomodation and alimentation fees, which are optional). They will also receive gifts from the organizers and a copy of the summary booklet.

8. Each participant has the right to prepare a poster on a topic related to the subject of the Workshop (Algebra). In this case one should:
- fill in all related fields in the application form (including "poster title"),
- have it approved by the organizers (the decision will be announced before 18.05.2011),
- send the poster image to the organizers before 08.06.2011. Failure to do so may result in rejection by the organizers.

9. Participants who present posters must be their authors or have permission to present them during the Workshop.

10. Text on posters must be in English.

11. Participants presenting posters are granted a 50 percent discount on conference fee (they will pay a fee of 50 PLN plus accomodation and alimentation fees).

12. Posters will be presented in a time assigned for this in the schedule.

13. The schedule will be published on the website of the Workshop in the first week of June 2011.

III. During the Workshop.

1. Workshop participants are entitled to participate in all lectures. Detailed information on accompanying events (such as evening meetings and trips around Kraków) will be given daily by the organizers.

2. Organizers are not responsible for any lost, destroyed or stolen property of the participants.

3. Participants are subject to financial liability for conducting any destructive actions. Participants are required to comply with the regulations of objects that will be the venue of the Workshop.

IV. Final Remarks.

1. Please report any problems with the registration form, payments or information about the Workshop. The organizers reserve the right to change the deadlines listed in this document.

2. If any other changes need to be made to these rules, all participants will be notified immediately and be given the opportunity to cancel participation within seven days with full refund.
