About Workshop

International Workshops for Young Mathematicians

Although the name sounds serious, fear not, dear Student! From the first grins at registration through to the final echoes of shattering chalk, this is the event for you! Don't worry about your English, you'll manage it just fine. In case you struggle, however, there will be lots of Poles present, who will gladly help you out.

So, what will we actually be doing?

This is the time for us - students with mathematics running in our blood - to shine. We will attend our friend's lectures everyday. Additionally, the invited guests, who often use events like this to share yet unpublished findings, will fill our time with their own presentations. But first and foremost, this is a workshop event! We will have guest- and supervisor- led problem sessions, where anything can happen: this is up to to your personal incentives and interests. One day will also be directed towards a poster session.

Will we really only be learning new things?

Our main objectives are learning, exchanging thoughts, and establishing new scientific contacts. However, we cannot forget about our social needs. As a result, numerous bonding and ice-breaking activities are planned. These vary from edition to edition, but examples include bowling, going to the cinema, sightseeing in Krakow, barbecues, paintball, and anything else that the organisers can come up with!

Are there any tips that we can provide for our visitors?

Take your friends - both the journey and the event itself are always more cheerful in a group. Feeling ambitious? Test your skills by preparing either a lecture or a poster, ultimately we are here to learn from one another.

We extend a sincere invitation for you to come and join us - your time here will be a blast! In case you have any questions, feel free to contact us at: kmsuj7@gmail.com

We look forward to having you with us!
