Lecturers and Poster Authors
Lectures
Deadlines for the contest of abstracts:
- submissions - July 31st, 2016,
- contest results - August 10th, 2016,
- sending full texts of lectures for publication - August 31st, 2016,
- sending updates to full texts of lectures - September 30th, 2016.
Authors of lectures:
- are exempted from paying the base conference fee (100 PLN),
- will receive a free copy of a book containing their lecture, with free shipment to a Polish address (the book is going to be published in 2017),
- receive an additional suprise present (in addition to the conference gadget),
- take part in a competition for the best lecture with attractive prizes,
- are entitled to a 50% discount for breakfasts and lunches (or 100% in case of Invited Guests).
The full text of the lecture should be:
- written in LaTeX format using this template (typically 6-10 pages),
- saved in a file named similar to "Name_Surname.tex" or "Name_Surname.zip" (if the .tex file includes other files, they should be packed together with it),
- sent by e-mail to kmsuj7+workshop@gmail.com using a title starting with "[Workshop 2016 - Lecture Text]" before the deadline given above.
Posters
Deadlines for the contest of abstracts:

- sending images of posters for publication - September 30th, 2016.
Authors of accepted posters:
- are exempted from paying the base conference fee (100 PLN),
- will receive a free copy of a book containing their poster, with free shipment to a Polish address (the book is going to be published in 2017),
- receive an additional suprise present (in addition to the conference gadget),
- take part in a competition for the best poster with attractive prizes.
One poster may have up to 3 authors.
All authors of a poster that attend the conference should submit the same poster title in the registration form and list all other authors in the "Poster Other Authors" field (it is enough if only one person fills in the poster abstract). In case of many authors, the discount is shared evenly.
A poster should be:
- printed in A2 format or larger and brought in paper form (it will be collected during registration at the conference site),
- sent as a PDF document (single page) to kmsuj7+workshop@gmail.com using a title starting with "[Workshop 2016 - Poster]" before the deadline given above,
- presented by at least one of its authors during the time allotted for this in the conference schedule.
Capitalization Rules
In titles of lectures and posters, please adhere exactly to these capitalization rules:
- capitalize the first and the last word (even when matched by one of the other rules),
- lowercase articles ("a", "an", "the"),
- lowercase coordinate conjunctions ("and", "but", "for", "nor", "or", "so", "yet", ...)
- lowercase prepositions shorter than five letters ("at", "by", "for", "in", "off", "on", "out", "to", "with", ...),
- lowercase Latin abbreviations ("etc.", "e.g.", "i.e.", ...)
- lowercase the "to" in an infinitive ("Nowhere to Run"),
- capitalize words not matched by any other rule.
